Current as of September 2016:
We are looking for a qualified mechanic right now, duties involve general service work and minor repairs. We look after all types of light vehicles, and provide a fairly balanced work environment. Hours are flexible, and there is a trial period. Applicants must have full Australian quals, as some apprentice supervision may be required. This is an ideal position for someone who has just completed a dealer apprenticeship and wants to gain experience on other makes, and find out what it is like to talk with actual customers. Wages are award+bonus, and can be re-negotiated after the trial.
We must point out that we are active members of Brisbane’s pre-80′s car scene, and only play old-school music in the workshop, so if you can’t go a day without listening to Nova, this position may not suit you. Ralph’s Garage is also a non-Xenophobic (look it up) equal opportunity environment, we take it seriously.
If you are looking for an apprenticeship or TA position, we don’t have anything available right now, but try contacting the MTAQ for information.
